This course (NTIS 91509NSW) is approved by NSW Fair Trading and is mandatory for all owner builder applicants where the work is more than $12,000.
It is a pre-requisite of this course that each student must first complete the unit "Work Safely In the Construction Industry" CPCCOHS1001A, commonly known as a 'White Card'.
When do I need an Owner Builder Permit?
As per NSW Fair Trading :
An Owner Builder Permit is required when doing any work (including supervision and co-ordination) involved in the construction of, or alterations, repairs or additions to, a dwelling (which includes a house, terrace, town-house, garage, swimming pool and certain other structures and improvements) which exceeds $12,000 (including material and labour).
